Verizon ready for iPhone incase Apple strikes AT&T deal.

December 19, 2009

The popular American telecommunications provider Verizon is apparently “iPhone ready” for when Apple’s exclusivity deal with AT&T runs out. Verizon has implemented upgrades to their networks so it’s more capable of handling extra traffic that would be generated by iPhone. Verizon claim “We’ve put things in place already and we’re prepared to support that traffic.”

The iPhone has placed extreme traffic on AT&T network causing data traffic to explode by 5000% over years. This has lead to people wondering if any US carrier can handle this stress. Although, Verizon still remain confident.
